Quarter panel, window trim. Refitting?

Good day gents.

I'm a bit symied as to how I'm going to refit the rear quarter panel, non popout window trim? I've been at it for a couple hours now and I just can't get the trim to slot back into the rubber, I even gave it a few taps with the rubber mallet to no avail.

I'm out of ideas.

There's a link in the r3vlimited.com main site (not the forum) with reassembly instructions. Be prepared for a lot of swearing, in any case.
