Euro bumper -> Plastic bumper swap. Need help!

    Hey.

I'm currently in the middle of facelifting my '88 vert.

The front was easy, but the rear has proven to be a bit more difficult. The plastic bumper has shock absorbers, but the eurobumper does not.

My car doesn't have these slots:

The euro bumper attaches by this little plastic bit.

How do I do this? :)

Seeing the pics side by side, made me feel a bit stupid. Can I just drill a hole for the shock absorber and bolt it on?

That would work, providing you can get to the back of the panel to put the nuts on & also the depth of the mounting point (compared to the rear body panel above the bumper) is the same. If either of these is a problem, you'll need to fabricate custom brackets.
