E36 m3 side molding on e30?

I dunno, these are M3 replica moldings from DDM... they look a bit bigger than what's pictured on the black E30 above.

take stock moldings, cut in half lengthwise, keep cutting, shaving, sanding, and shaping until they look good, repaint with SEM.

I think the E39 trim looks a little smaller and might be a better fit... Anybody?
