The Gap?

So I'm trying to pick up a long term project / dd

I'm wondering whats up with the gap on this sedan's rear bumper, if its just the angle of the shots, if it can be fixed by a pro, or if its something easy (like someone did an '88 swap from diving boards and didn't adjust it correctly or something)

looks like its just been banged around a bodyshop should have no problem cleaning that gap right up.
