Hey - no problem. Well the bottom one doesn't look to good - I think you need the red paint on the molding to make the bumper look more integrated with the car. I think the pronounced-ness (if thats a word) of the diviing board bumper comes a lot from how those moldings stand out from the body of the car even BEFORE you get to the actual bumper which sticks out further. The goal is to get to a place where the overall Gestalt is not so pronounced.

So once you have that, youv've made your car similar to the convertibles that have body-colored trim and already the bumpers are less noticeable.
You can also stop to think at that point and see how it looks live.

Hmm.. the top picture that you posted is not bad but the bumper still looks protruded. If you go with how it is in the picture I posted earlier - the bumper almost doesn't look "stuck out" at all.

This all being said..go with how you feel ... it's your car and your decision.

I'm gonna go with the picture you posted...it def. looks the best. I think a bumper tuck on my car will help out as well. I just hope the paint will match up alright

Cool..keep those pics coming? Just out of curiosity -- how easy is it to paint these things- the rubber, the aluminum, etc. ..what is powdercoating anyway?

I gotta do something about my own front bumper-it is sun-faded so bad it looks grey. I bought the Fade-to-black but am not reading good things about it. But anything is better---or even just exchanging the black rubber from the front bumper on my parts car- that would help a lot too.

          Good luck!

I'll let ya know when I get mine painted, I'm not powdercoating mine. I'll keep ya updated with pics, gonna go to the hardware store today to pick up some sandpaper and I may try to find some paint at an auto body shop.

I had some Back to Black that I used on the bumpers of my old eta...worked pretty well, is that what you're talking about? otherwise I would just paint that grey strip with a rattle can...since it's black it shouldn't be hard to do

LOL...No problem. After seeing "Marvin_Hecht's" post I've decided I like that look better than an all black bumper. It "minimizes" the bumper's look, IMO. My car had been repainted to a dark met. blue by one of the PO's (but they didn't have the decency of painting inside the trunk, hood, jambs, etc. ). I'm returning it to Burgundrot so I think the bumpers might look better body-colored.
