    Euro Bumper

I have an 85 323i that has slight damage to the center section of the rear euro style bumper. Cost to repair is very high. Anyone know where to look for replacements?

A new genuine rear piece in primer (not chrome) should be in the ballpark of $90 plus shipping. You might try Emailing Blunt @ blunttech.com to see what his price is. The Part # is 51 12 1 959 914 (for prime coated)

For a new Genuine chrome rear center piece, the part # is 51 12 1 888 276. Cost should be around $285

Or you can get aftermarket ones in chrome, that I assume are pretty close to originals, for around $130 plus shipping.

Try http://www.fmw-onlineshop.de (they have them listed there)

    or Schmiedmann.com

Mel at Abraham's Motorsport was a US distributor for Schmiedmann, I'm not sure if he still is or not. His forum name is "BMWE34M5"

You might also try PM'ing "Sn00pyB0ttz" as he appears to have a connection with Schmiedmann and it's worth a shot to ask him if he can source them

There's a big difference in price between new prime coated euro bumpers and chrome plated ones.

Also a big difference in price between aftermarket chrome euros and genuine chrome euro bumpers.

Check out the part numbers on the prime coated ones, you may be surprised. It's actually somewhat affordable. Whether or not it's NLA or not, is another question

that is what everyone is asking.... unless you buy new, you have to sit and wait for some one to sell a set.

I don't mind taking some straight but not really shiny chrome euro's off someone's hands. Just not for the price I can pick them up new. I don't actually want chrome and that's what bugs me. Buying new chrome euro bumpers would be a waste to paint up.
