    M-Tech II question

    I have found a full M-tech II kit from a 92' 325ic for sale.
The seller list that it will fit any ic' OR any 2 door before 88'

That dosen't sound like it makes sense........ I would think that it would only fit post 88' coupes and post 92' converts.?!?!?!

    Any insight??

All the parts of the kit from an M-Tech II cabrio will fit on any E30 AFTER 1988, with the EXCEPTION of the lower part of the side skirts. The door panels will fit fine, but the bottom section of the side skirts, which mount to the rockers, WILL NOT fit. Cabrios have much taller rockers than coupes/4-doors. It also WILL NOT fit on any E30 previous to 1988, due to the higher rear fender arches, except for cabrios. All cabrios have the lower rear fender arches like the post-88 cars.

No problem, glad to help. Few things are worse than spending a shitload on parts only to find out they won't fit/work.

ok im confused. does this mean that fitting an m-tech II kit to a pre-face lift cab. only requires altering the rear mounts and not the rear arches?

          thanks in advance

Yes, that's right because as said, all cabrio cars have the lower rear arches

however, even though the cabrio rockers are bigger, you could still make it fit, it just wouldnt be bolt on.
