Quality of new aftermarket hoods???

I have a near perfect 1986 325es from California but found the hood to be wrinkled, warped. I have looked for a good one but after block sanding 3 different hoods I see huge low spots etc. It is important to me to have a perfect hood.

Question: How good are the aftermarket new hoods? They are in the $200 range.

Do they fit well and how straight are they?

Aftermarket parts are usually thin, & tend to rust out quicker than OEM (plus you're probably sending your money to china). I personally wouldn't use them.

Hood quality of aftemarket hoods

I took a look at a new after market hood. It was horrible so I bought a new original BMW.
