Question about painted rear license plate area?

To get to the point. Has anyone with an e30 ever painted the rear license plate area to make it look like they have a euro plate filler. Im guessing it would only work on any color except black, anyway just something that crossed my mind today. NO IM NOT THINKING OF DOING IT TO MY CAR JUST THOUGHT I SHOULD ASK.

Smart guys put black vinyl there instead of painting.

Vinyl sounds reasonable and smarter than painting lol. I have the euro plate filler I had on my last e30 but this car looks like a pos and honestly don't feel the filler would help. But anyway I was looking at that section of the rear today and the idea kinda just came up. Thanx guys. Again I wont be doing this but I would still like to see any pix; if anyone has any they have come up with.

I would go with the Vynil. I may consider doing this too
