PLEASE help me on these stupid trim panels!

Ok so I took off the chrome trims to get powder coated black. Well I have read that the easiest way to reinstall the rear window panel is to take the weatherstrip out along with the window, install panel, then reinstall together using soap or some sort of lubricant. Well that did not work, and after about 45 mins I decided to just reinstall without the panel. Can someone please give me the inside tip, info, secret plan, to installing these bastards. Oh and I went to a BMW dealer to have them do it and they flat out said no, its too big of a pain and the metal is too soft.

Btw did I tell you how much I hate these trim panels?:(

Sorry I figured it out. Its the rear quarter window. I removed the rubber, window, then used wd40 and installed the trim with the window out. Then tied a string around the window so I could pull the window while I used to screw driver to get the rubber strip around the interior. It seemed to help to install the bottom first then work around to the top. Installed the second window in 10 mins. Thanks rev,I found the string trick on here :)
