Please excuse if there is another thread on this and my n00bness with painting.
I'd like to repaint my iS lip before the picnic (ie: >6 days) I've got a can of paint matched with the car color but I'll need some tips for getting it right.
From what I've heard, I'll need to sand down with ~220 grit then smooth, prime, spray, sand with ~400, spray, and repeat as desired.
Do I use some sort of plastic primer?
Pic below shows the slight rock chips on lower right as well as the deeper curb rash.
