    Swapping out Fenders

I have one pretty badly dinged up front fender and one with just a little tire rub. The good news is that when I bought my car the previous owner had two matching fenders in really nice shape that he threw in with the purchase. I have a little time tomorrow to swap them over and don't foresee any problems except just below the windshield where there is some visible seam sealer.
Any advice on getting the fender to come off the body without destroying the paint in this area? I haven't done much body work and don't know how tenacious the seam sealer is. This isn't a show car or anything, I just don't want to cross a point of no return and rip a huge chunk of paint off my car.

its really easy, especially if you don't have rusted bolts. on mine the seam sealer was easy to get off, hardest part was the bolts behind the door. luckily i knew i would be doing it down the road so last time had the front bumper off i removed the bolt that is behind there. there is an odd bolt that uses a hex screw up front as well.

You were right. It was a snap but just as I was mounting up my new fender I realized that it had a hole in it for a sidemarker. DOH! It must have come off of an import car. What are the chances of that? So the old dented fender went back on. I can't believe I didn't notice before.

i'd rock em and get some side markers for it... sure it wasn't a hole for the trim?
