    Hood clear coat peeling. Advice?

Not sure what to do with the paint on the hood. The clear is peeling but it also appears yellowed. Should I try a Tower paint rattle can and clear? Just clear? Not a body guy by any means so any dorection is appreciated!

Is that Alpine White II? Most likely, the color coat is yellowed as well. Re-clearing won't fix that.

Yes, it is Alpine II. I just realized how shitty those pics turned out. The rest of the paint is decent, needs a nice cut/buff job. The hood had been resprayed at some point leading to this.

At this point the only proper fix would be to sand it dull, making sure to feather out the parts that are peeling, if you sand it down to where you can see the primer(gray), then you would need to respray the color, if you are careful, you might only need to re-clear coat it.

I could help if I wasn't hundreds of miles away.

If lucky, the E36 will die peacefully, in its natural habitat, and be given the prestigious honor of donating its parts to an E30
