Anyone paint their valences and car below the side trim black?

I am looking to see if anyone has done this or has any pics? I posted this in the photoshop section and was told that someone on here did it but can't seem to locate a pic or post.

What I am thinking is to paint my front IS valence sides of the car below the trim and rear valence (I haven't got yet) black, and to paint the top 2/3rds 153 Olivgrun Olive Green Metallic Green, or something resembling gunmetal.

    -Thanks

I found some pics on another site, am now thinking matte black may look better than the below. Think the gunmetal will look better too. Anyone have any opinions on this?

    -Thanks

I tried to get someone to mock it up in that section, but while preparing my mom for the hurricane I had her put the below picture together.

Opinions? The top color is olive green (dark as 50% opacity on black). I believe a matte black lower will compliment the olive green upper.

Any special reason why you want a 2-tone car?

Well I have to paint the front and rear valences and was thinking of just painting them black. The clearcoat was done poorly on the car and is flaking off so the car needs to be repainted. So I was figuring that I could just continue that line along the car and paint it like that. While I am at it all the trim needs to be done as well as the mirrors.

Before I do anything wanted to see if it had been done and what it looked like.

IMHO, I really think you should just wait to at least "matte paint" your car 1 color.

What do you mean, wait and see what that looks like?

That is a far ways off, just trying to get some feelers now. I have to repaint my jeep, and fix a wiring issue in that, and also am going to rebuild the engine in the BMW figured I would paint that with the engine out of it so I can do the engine bay to, and assess if there is any rust. Just to give an idea that may not happen till the spring.

Just paint it all one color.

I will take that under advisement, I am not doing one of the crazier two tone paint jobs and have seen a lot of horrible looking ones, these two colors look good together as long as the black isn't too reflective.
