want to change the painted red trim back to black

hey I just bought my e30 and the previous owner resprayed the car and this included spraying over the black trim, i want to change it back to black. I want to do this myself, what should i do?

also how do i take off the trim on the side of the doors....sorry if i wasnt too clear

Open the door you'll see a 10mm nut. Take that off. Pull on trim. Have replacement clips ready because they'll probably break. Front fender just pull off. Rear 1/4 panel, remove 10mm nut in wheel well. Pull trim off. I prefer SEM trim black paint but Duplicolor has gotten good reviews on here as well.

Lightly sand the trim so that it does not have much gloss to it, spray it with a primer, I prefer epoxy primer, but that is not cheap for a can (24$) but for trim your standard primer should do fine. Spray with your choice of black, I like satin black or SEM trim paint, Both are fine and will last.

I def gotta re-do all my trim, as well as my bumpers.. Post pics when done.. Previous owner painted my bumpers all one color as well ( rub strips ) They look like a pain to remove though.

Repaint the door trim and for the bumpers, get new euro trim.
