are they going to strip the stone guard which is on it? that's bitch to do. you might want to get it painted look at the car-if you like- keep it and if not then have them put fresh black top rocker guard back on. while you're in there... ,
I'm going to say paint them. If you don't like it, it's an easy fix. I have yet seen a cabrio that has it that makes me want to do the same. The double trim doesn't flow with the cars lines nor does a painted "IS" lip without colored skirts...IMO.
either paint the rockers to match the car, or the IS lip black. As it is, it makes the front of the car look MUCH lower than the rest, throwing off the lines IMO.
I saved 15% on my Bimmer parts by switching to ...
Add skirts (painted body color of course) and paint lower part of rear valance white.
Here lies the problem...cabrio skirts (that look good) are extremely hard to find and when found, they are $$$ and still go quick. IMO, acs cabrio skirts or nothing.

Exactly. I talked to the shop and they are willing to do custom work to fill in the second molding line and paint them white... The question is... If they get filled, does that mean I cant have skirts at all?
Just scrape off the top inch of the black rock guard material on the rocker panels to make it line up with the rock guard on the rear bumper. Then get a black is lip for the front to make the same line flow front to rear.
