How do you repair soft rubber spoilers?

                  so I need to get several coasts of white paint off mine. all deeply cracked. I want a black one. will these is spoilers handle any chemical removers, any one tried it, otherwise Ill be sanding for the next few weeks

                  ( project is putting a white is trunk lid on a black vert, thats why I need to get back to black on the rubber spoiler)

                    Sanding is your best bet. If the chemicals get to the foam rubber it will melt.
