    cabrio top install question

Its way to cold here to install a new cabrio top, the manual recommends 75+ degree weather, and I also dont have a heated garage to do it in.
Is it possible to remove the frame and install it on just the frame inside my house? has anyone done this before?

    Thanks.

I was thinking about doing this. But having the frame on makes it sooo much easier to make sure fitment is right. Find someone with a heated garageor rent a construction heater. I have one at my garage heats up nicely...

you can change the frame shocks while the roof is off. Much easier to do when off then when it is on.

doesnt exactly answer my question but its good to know. my shocks are blown, how much do they actually assist when putting the top up and down?

you kind of need the top on the car to replace the top. its should be installed and kept closed/latched for a week. i guess the top needs to stretch to properly stay in place and it would be stretched correctly if it was off the car
