    Labor for fender flares

What would be a ballpark figure to extend the stock e30 fender flares on each corner by about 2"

I have no idea about bodywork really, I imagine it would take some cutting, flaring, welding, sanding, bending etc etc. I don't need paint, just basically getting the fenders to look like what Alex S. has on his old 4door DSP car.

    Are we talking 1k, 2k, 3k, more?

    Thanks!

    I would say between 2k and 3k.

Depends on the body shop and how well you want it to look.

I found a guy that was going to do the over fenders. The pop rivet kind. He was making me a deal at $500. That was to trim the fender and paint the fenders and then paint for rust protection.
Just to give you an idea. So maybe $1000 for real metal work plus the parts. mine was plus parts too.

So he used the pop rivet fenders to attach to the metal fenders ? Or did he use the pop rivet ones as a "guide" to make new metal work?

yep, I need these to clear 275/35/15 on 15x10 square .

What it's been used for since I've had it, autocross.

              Ok cool.

I will also be clearing 275s in the future. I plan to build my own custom fender flares for the front and build a custom overfender for the rear.

The question is really how you want them to look. If you want a really clean, great looking fender you will have to pay quite a bit to have it done. I can build my own in my shop and they will be very functional and look good. The finish just may be a tad rough.

Its all in what you want.

I am going to run the pop rivet flares. I have always liked them plus they are lighter. I am having it done this winter.

Then go with the pop rivet fenders. They will have a clean look depending on which ones you buy and how they are made. And most should be able to fit 275s

They will also make labor cheaper if you know how to do simple body work.

I've been autocrossing the E30 in SM because of the mods I've done to the car etc. With my older car (04 R32), I ran in DS.
