Subbed.
99% chance I'll be doing this too.
Just remember that this is a case of "what do you have more of, time or money?", and if you aren't going to spend the money, get ready to spend the time.
Can't wait to see the progress.

I'm looking forward to seeing the final result. I did all the prep work on my car but didn't have a booth to spray it in so I took it to my friends shop. It's a lot of work but worth it once it's done. I may be buying back my old convertible and if I do I'm gonna paint it. This time around I'm gonna use a better quality paint and clear and take a lot more time doing the prep work getting everything nice. Subscribed!Leave a comment:

Nice, looks like a proper start! You might want to consider doing some research/practice on actually spraying the paint; less is more (per coat) and it will save you money.Leave a comment:

I'm excited to see how this turns out. You'll be so much more motivated to do it right than anyone else, even if you may be less skilled.Leave a comment:

nothing beats having air tools in the home garage. I repainted my car a while ago and it turned out not so great. My advice for you then is patience is your greatest virtue here! Make it perfect!Leave a comment:

Good stuff! Be sure to take your time preping and sanding the primer after its layed on. It will be the heart of the paint work.
Changing the interior? may i have your old red interior?Leave a comment:

All right. Got a few things cleaned up in the garage, and make a little progress this weekend.
Took a few more things off the car and I got the drivers side and windshield frame fully scuffed with Maroon Scotch Brite pads. My fingers are sore!!
Only have until Wednesday to get as much as I can done and then I'm out of town for a while.
Been working with Kevin at Creative Options and an interior choice has been made. Just need to get him some money to get that going.
A little body work on the drivers side to do but not much. We'll see what it looks like after I start sanding with a guide coat down. Gotta feeling thas not going to be any fun. Lol! Well,
What waffleswaffleswaffles you guys think?

Got it. Thanks.
Hopefully I can get moving on this. I don't want it to be really drawn out but late nights and weekends are my only hope.
I need to retire so I can play some more. Under 5 years and counting!!Leave a comment:
