Don't ever post anything from e30tech for the rest of your life. That site sucks balls in a handbag. I registered last year and they STILL haven't activated my account. Nevermind all the drama with the vendors and veteran posters.

That reminds me, I need to see if there is such a thing as "worst forum on the internet", so I can nominate it.

    - Practice on other panels before shooting body panels. The car shouldn't be the first thing you do because you will learn what works for air pressure and setup.

    - Use guidecoat. Car will look great until you spray with guidecoat and sand, then you'll see how hosed it really is and where it still needs work.

    - Must have a filter before the gun to capture moisture! It's raining inside your compressor.

    - Get the best respirator you can find, if not forced air.

    - Bugs and dust will find your fresh paint, if you let them.

My roof looked Ok for the first several days, then I color sanded and it looks amazing.

Finally after months of the car sitting with nothing done I have updates!!!!

Full car scuffed. Body work started. In the process of doing that I found out that the entire drivers side rear quarter panel was replaced at some point (clean Carfax so I guess it was done without insurance involvement). The problem with that is I am finding a fair amount of rust where the panels join together and an F-in hole under the tail light. Needless to say a little welding is required to fix that.

On top of what I thought was going to be a simple repaint I have acquired an M50, 5 speed, MtechII body kit in route (factory rear seen here) and I have just put my order in with Kevin for a full redo of the upholstery.

Eight weeks until d-day. I'm trying to drive her to Mfest as my M3 is just not ready but this will be fun to take there.

Let me know what you guy think.

Oh, and if you have a welder and can weld good let me know as I do need that hole fixed. lol...
