    Unpulling a fender...

I know, I know... everyone says you can't "unpull" a fender. But, this I think there may be some hope here. I had my rear fenders rolled today to fit some 17x9's in the back. I was still rubbing, so we had to pull them. One of the fenders is pulled slightly more than the other by like 2mm. I don't want to pull the other side anymore b/c its perfect. Do you think it's possible to push that fender back in 2mm? It's not the arch part of the fender, but the flat edge portion (circled part in diagram below). See the (poorly drawn) difference? The flat part on the driver's side rear fender is pulled more than the right side. I'm hoping it can be done without needing to repaint the fender. If worst comes to worse, I wondering if it could be hammered in, the imperfections filled with body filler, sand it smooth to match the contour of the other side, then just repaint just that fender lip area? Kinda sick to my stomach about it. It really makes the driver's side look like shit. Let me know what you think.

P.S.-this isn't my car, just a good image of the e30 rear fender off google

Try a mallet, not a hammer. What size are your tires?

use an adjustable wrench, and just bend it back into place. if you don't push to much/move to far over it should work fine. worked for me. just bend then move 1 or 2mm's over each time.

that adjustable wrench idea sounds good; I would put some cloth between the two contact point to prevent scratching and possible chipping. Be gentle. Also, this is something I would do when it is hot out rather then cool or cold. The metal and paint is more flexible and less prone to cracking or chipping.

Using an adjustable wrench is a great idea... I have a heat gun so I'll try to get it nice and warm before I go prying on it. But, if I chip or crack the paint it won't be the end of the world. That's cheaper than having to replace the rear quarter panel. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll let you know how it turns out.

Went back to feel under the fender to see if it's possible to use an adjustable wrench. I don't know if it'll be able to grab and have leverage b/c where the inner fender arch and the out fender arch comes together, there is extra material... like a shitty weld of something. It's causing the lip that was folded under to not sandwich against the inside of the arch... it's making a "V" shape. The passenger side isn't like that though. Dunno if the wrench can grab that... we'll see.
