    Paint match....

Just getting an fyi out there for the zinno owners out there. I have found a damn near dead on match for the zinnoberot on our cars.

    Rustoleum Regal Red.

I know there are going to be haters out there, but another forum member,
Schnitzer318is helped me swap on a coupe decklid on my vert and we sprayed a small spot under the zinno decklid we took off and it is damn near a dead on match to the factory zinno paint. Even he, the San Antonio E30 guru was amazed at how close the color match was. I bought a set of delphin power mirrors from him and I am going to be spraying those soon to see exactly how good of a match the Regal Red is. Pictures to come in the next few days.......

I decided I didnt want to wait and gave this a shot myself.

My is spoiler needs to be painted anyways so I picked up a can of regal and gave it a quick spray.

keep in mind this is without sanding, prep, primer work. This is 2 light coats in the corner which was originally flaked and destroyed.

The temperatures were too cold for paint (40s) but I did it anyways...

The pictures were taken 6 hours after the paint was applied.

I dont have a real camera just a blackberry and ipod touch.... this is the lesser of 2 evils.

so... keeping all that in mind check out the pictures below... overall I can see some potential.

you can buy a pinstripe "gun" or take it to some one after..........

                      Or

if you're really bold.... use a thin paint brush and a steady hand ;)

                              Paint match spoiler

Banner red looked closer to my faded zinno than the regal red did. I'm exceptionally color blind though.
