    Trim fastener question.

I bought this grill piece for my E30 without considering how I would attach it. Anyone know the proper clip to hold that guy on?

It goes in the bottom most space of the late model valance. It has a -> sorta thing on the back that pushes into the valance. (the valance will have a rubber/plastic grommet to keep it snug)

Yeah, I know all that. The grill piece itself doesn't have anything in the middle to push into that grommet. I'm assuming there's something that clips onto it that will snap in, that's what I'm asking about.

I just use a good-sized glob of silicone in that middle part, and then another on each end, holds it on there good and firm, to the point where it's difficult to remove when I need to pull it, but no damage to the finish.

But if you want to go the OEM route, you're looking for #14 and #15 here:

Silicone lol, how did I not consider that? I used it in a few spots on my E21, but somehow that didn't occur to me. Thanks, man.
