I'm not sure it had been sitting in our bathroom for many years, just make sure to not get any on the paint of the car. I pulled it off the car and removed the fiberglass center section, then applied the shoe dye.

Alright, got the insert back from the body shop, is it necessary to
use 3m doublesided tape on the underside to install this? PO had tape on both ends and along the egde that I removed.
