Early model e "lip" on late model valence?

Just like the title states i was wondering if you can mount an early model lip to a late model valence. I believe all the early model lips are the same unless its a euro model car. Im wondering this because im buying a late model valence for my 87 and have not sourced an is lip yet. If theres any work to be done that would be nice to know.

I should be picking up the valence and installing it this weekend, so if nobody has any ideas, ill see what i can do with it, and let you guys know.

I know it's been done before, just not sure how much work you need to do

i know ive seen it too. From what ive read the is lip just clips in and i believe the early model lip screws in. Someone has got to know for sure though.

You can use the 86-87 lip. But not the 85 and back lip. Cause the 85 and back lip is shorter on the sides.

perfect. does it clip it, or does it use the screws that are visible from the front?

I'm not to for sure how people mounted them. Knowing r3v, they used zip ties.

The iS lip isn't hard to find, it's $115 shipped brand new.
