      Thanks for the comps.

The straps are held with 2 philips head screws to each bar and it is rivited to the rear most bar. At the front there is a steel rod that slides into the strap and it hooks into the front of the frame. Not sure you can change them without having the top off. I will document all of it with pics when i change out my nieces top. I need to do it soon so hopfully my tube of window-weld will not dry out. I don't want to buy another.

Ahh, the parts car. I had a bronzit 88 for a parts car with a blown motor that i had pulled the seats, wheels and a bunch of stuff off, then my niece needed a car for school. So a friend and i found an E36 318i with blown head and the E30 325i vert with salvage title and body damage all over it and we got them both for $1200. So i pulled the motor out of the e30 and rebuild it and threw it in the bronzit since it's body was nice and had a recent repaint. So now the green one has become my parts car. Don't let the pics fool you. The left door and rear quarter have been replaced already, it had since been hit in the rear. No frame damage but it needs a new tail panel. Also needs a right door, hood and fenders the rad support is bent. I put the right door on my driver and will probably steal it's right fender since mine has a dent on the top edge. The guy hit a huge pot hole and wrecked 2 rims and the right suspension too. That being said i have plans for it. It is going to become my wild build. I want to give it a wide body and since it is in rough shape and has a salvage title it is a good candidate for it. I have a pair of M3 fenders but i am wondering what it would look like if i widened the stock fender. Not sure but it's got some cars ahead of it.

Here is my nieces car when i was building it.

If you dont mind, I would like to post this thread in a thread that I started a while back about cabrios. When you finish you nieces car, I could attach it to that thread as well...if that is alright with you.

        Amazing job!
