Attaching rubber end trim pieces, rear euro bumpers

Anybody done this before? I have no idea how I'm supposed to mount these, in fact been running without them for a year now. I see that they have a rectangular hole cut into them, however there is nothing in my bumper to latch on to the slot.

I'm thinking of just riveting them to the bumper.

NO don't use rivets! check realoem and get the correct mounting hardware. The trim attaches to the metal part IIRC. Don't have my car here or I'd get a pic for you.

IIRC they use the same clips as the strip on DBs no? Should be easy to find.

Well, what does yours look like?
                Here's the realoem link:

                http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...41&hg=51&fg=15

and here's the bag of shit that came from the dealer when I ordered the "mount kit" (I thought it was the brackets).

Had to order to the trim from Levent, the brackets from blunttech, and then we couldn't figure out if the part I posted (from the 325i parts list) was the right one (they're only 20ish per piece) or the 318i (which are like $60) but I went with the 325i because that's my car model and they were less expensive for some inexplicable reason...I dunno :|

Such a fricken fiasco, I've been driving around with a US bumper and euro front for like 5 years now? :hitler:

@Smooth, that doesn't look like the correct piece. Here's my part 13

Does it have a part number on it?

I don't even understand how that fits :(

Before this gets any further. Do you have early or late euro bumpers?

I am referring to early models. My part #13 is 51121888287

I highly doubt Blunt sent the wrong ones... His Mom drove him to grade school in a euro e30.

                        Lets rewind a bit,
                        what year is your car?
Any body kit on the car? mtech 1 specifically?
Can you take pics of the rear bumper on the car?

Call me if you want to talk live.

Well I don't know what happened, Levent, but we tried. HAHAHA! Bottom line I have a hot mess on my hands. I'll get back to you when I dig out the other parts and we'll try to get me sorted :)

For everyone else following this thread:
                          My car's an '89
It's the blue cabrio in my sig.

I don't know if I have early or late euro bumpers...I didn't realize there was a difference and I'm not sure how to tell because I don't see a part number on my pieces.

Levent and I figured out that my part #13 appears to be for a euro 325iC but that's about as far as we could get with the parts I have in front of me.
