Go to a dealership anbd look at brand new cars. They have orange peels.

It was already emphasized that he is doing an apprenticeship, so no one should expect it to be completely perfect as that takes more time and will cost more money.

Word to the thread crappers, gtfo.

I'd want a correct paint job (which means a lot more than re-sanding... it means windows-out, trim-off, etc.) if I'm paying anything for it.

Different expectations for different people. Fair enough.

If it's sounds too good to be true...
Not to be rude but I dont care what you want. If you are paying me to paint your car then I will consider what you have to say. What sounds to good to be true? An apprentice painter offering his services at a reduced rate? Think whatever you like but please don't come in my thread insulting my work. This is how I eat and you sitting in your room judging my work that I did for someone when you have no idea and could not know what was expected payed or really ANY dynamics of the Job in question.
You said you wouldn't let your car come home looking like that for free and that's fine it's a free country and you can go pay between $3k and $7k and it wont look like that.

Again that peel was from a previous very poor respray which makes my job a million times harder. So for you to come in here w your shitty arrogant attitude and say ewwwww omg theres peel on the roof what a ripoff is unneeded.
    Thanks.

All I could do at this price was sand/feather as best I could. The correct way to fix this is after sanding, primer and then Sand again. This customer was hose the former and was happy.

I wouldn't let my car come back from paint looking like that even if it was free.

I'll take my factory paint even with some age spots showing.

X2 large amounts of peel on roof

They're also not required to tell you about this.
