    Convertible top stuck...

So it's finally nice enough to pull the top down on the convertible, but it is stuck and I need some help figuring out how to get it unstuck.

The part that's stuck is the lid on the storage area for the top. I can reach in a pull the latch to release the lid, but only the side nearest the latch releases. The other side--the passenger side--won't release.

I expect this means I'll need to adjust the cable once I get it open, but I can't figure out how to get to the mechanism to release it right now. Help!

I think youre right on the cable. If anything just take that speaker panel off (clipped on) and pull on the cable with pliers until the pass side pops

This. Happened to me. Use visegrips and get a good hold on the cable, it's awkward but it'll pop.

Thanks, guys, good idea on just pulling the speaker panel... I'll dive in in the morning and let you know how it goes.

Worked perfectly, thanks! Saved me the trouble of taking the seats out which is what I thought I'd have to do...
