    Emblem sizes?

So i have a 2 door, 90 325i with some rough emblems, I want to replace them but aren't sure on stock sizes.. I think the front is 82mm but the back seems to have a bugger back? Is there 2 pieces making up the back or different size? I plan on putting on some aftermarket emblems, probably black and white.
    Any Info would help.

    Thanks

I'm not sure what you mean by 2 piece emblem... but I know both emblems are just 1 piece molded plastic. Did you try googling this?

Would an 82 mm hood work/ look good on the trunk?

I bought a cheap eBay 82mm emblem off eBay from this vendor: http://www.ebay.com/itm/82mm-BMW-M-X...item27c5841558

          It was surprisingly high quality.

It comes with the plastic mount as a stand alone piece, and the emblem is stand alone with an adhesive backing so that the two will stick together. I simply pry'ed the old emblem off my existing trunk mount (it's on there with some strong glue - I didn't have to unmount the entire badge), bent the new emblem a bit to match the curved form of the trunk emblem, added an extra bit of industrial adhesive to the center back of the emblem, and stuck it on. Looks OEM, fits perfect, and was cheap. Keeping the adhesive that comes with the emblem untouched around the edges helps it stay in place while everything dries.

Putting a hood emblem on the trunk will not look right because it has a different curvature and mounting surround. But the "reskinning" the existing one works great. This was for an '86 e30.
