bumper removal after bumper tuck

hey i have a 85 325e and i recently tucked my bumper... the thing is my bumper didnt have the hole under it so when i tucked my bumper i took off the shocks while it wa connected to my bumper. now i want to change my valance and im having a hard time trying to remove the bumper.

any ideas? thank you

I dont think my 87 had any hole, but I cant exactly remember. From what I remember though, I think I had to unbolt the shocks themselves from the body, and pull them out of the frame. Youd have to remove the plastic surrounds. Either that or behind the trim there should be holes to insert an extension+socket. Is that the hole youre talking about?

You should be able to untuck your bumper by pulling it out by hand right? I can untuck mine in a moments notice if I want, and with some quick right foot action, back to tucked.

My bumpers weren't going anywhere by hand after i tucked them. i had to use a chain and concrete post to untuck mine to swap valances. good luck.

i tried pulling the bumper by hand but its going no where.

how do i remove the trim on the bumper without taking the bumper?

if i cant do that, i guess id have to just untuck it like mentioned above
