I have this dent on my rear drivers side fender. There are some dings throughout the body that are small enough that I feel I could do them with a kit from auto zone. This thing, though, I'm not sure what to do with.

My whole principle with this car is pure diy, paying only for parts, preferably used, and figuring out how to fix stuff by myself. Could this fender crumple be fixed without professional tools? What would be the best way to go about it? Resources for learning?

I'd take the wheel off and whack the shit out off the inside with a hamner.

ball peen or mallet? I've never done any body work, not even pulling out a dent. Just bang it back into shape?

Use a flat body hammer and dolly or you are going to mangle the lip.

A dolly is used on the backside of the surface you are hammering. It helps hold the shape so you aren't just stretching the metal and putting more dents in it.

Body hammers are shaped for specific curves. Again the idea is to not just beat the crap out of a panel, but rather to shape it.

And you will more than likely chip the paint in the process. If you are up north sometime, I will help you with it.

You guys don't get under you car much, do you?

The rear fenders also have an inner fender, dolly/hammer won't work. Either cut out and replace or pull it out with a slide hammer
