Blitz Black Turbo E30 (old thread was about Plasti-dip)
I just spent an hour peeling the PO's plasti-dip off of the trunk and hood. Just saying. It comes off the wheels next.
I don't regret sell the gals that I had to paint my e30 with, it's played out hard and I don't think it looks good anymore. I will admit that painting my trim with it was an amazing idea though! But that's about all it's good for.
Should be laying it tonight or tomorrow. The place that's doing it is making 100% sure that all body work is mint and trying to wet sand and such. I'll get them up asap when it happens!!
To everyone on here who has used plasti-dip and it doesn't hold up, how many coats did you put on? If you want it to last more than one day you need to use 5 or 6 coats minimum. Also, you can't use just any old towel on it. The best way to go is probably to use a dipwasher towel. It is specially made to not catch on the dip, or leave any fibers behind. Just a heads up!
