Yeah that's what happened to me I was at a show and a kid had his e90 done black and said it was like that for 6 months already looked awesome. That's when I started to watch the "Dip your car" vids. I understand its not permanent, but all that talk about it rubs off easy, so what that means is I should avoid scraping it up against thing like you would real.............paint. I'm going to spray it with a real gun, with air, in a contained area. It should come out nice, if not oh well I can peal it off and spray it.I've been considering doing this as well, even the same color.
Watch DipYourCar's videos on youtube. They had one on there with a car that had been covered in blue dip for 6 months and they were pressure washing it..paint didn't peel or anything.
Its stronger then most people think, holds up better then paint against rock chips too. My kidneys are plastidip'd black...the grills are painted black with normal paint. The grills have rock chips all over from various road trips. Only time the plastidip has had a blemish was when I took my hood off to work on my car and I slipped and hit the kidneys with the hood.
That and I've seen some done around Houston area and it looks like a wrap, would never know it was plastidip.
I'm all for it, do it and let us know how it comes out. Guy in the vid says if you spray it correctly and layer it enough, it holds up well over time.Leave a comment:

That hotrod black is actually John Deere blitz black. Looks sick!
I was thinking about doing hot rod black or something but I already have the plasti-dip

The only thing i like plasti dip for on our cars are the spoilers. It brought new life to my
m tech after the rubber started cracking. Be warned though, it does not last, one wrong move and it starts peeling off.Leave a comment:
