Could this be a stock fender?

I am looking at an e30 to buy. Ussually the the fender lips have silicon type of stuff in the area of this picture dont they? This car doesnt on either side.



Does that mean the fenders have been taken off? Or did 1990 325is come without the silicon or?

I have a 1990 325is and mine has sealant on that seam. Does the vin tag on the fender match the car's VIN?

Yes, but makes me wonder if the vin was taken off an old fender and put onto these ones.
