325i VS 325ic Fender question

I bought the below fender from JC Whitney (driver front fender for a 1990 325i), and it doesn't fit my 1990 325ic. Did I just get a bad fender, am I putting the thing on wrong, or are the coupe/sedan not interchangable with a convertible?

not interchangeable; the heal on the convertible is a bit longer due to the deeper rocker. since they don't have a solid roof, they make the rockers thicker to compensate for structural rigidity. cabrio fenders are different; all others interchangeable.

Thanks that was the part I was having issues with the dumb thing is about an inch too short! Now I just need to find a vert fender

yup made that mistake already..LOL I didn't lose out though because I bought two factory DOT replacement fenders from bmw for my convertible thinking it was for a coupe. But seeing I could use them anyway I kept em. :-)
