I have a 1990 325iC and I would like to keep the chrome bumpers and I bought a newer style valance from a 325ix and it does fit over the old bumper mounts but none of the holes line up and it is way off (about a full quater to a half inch) on the fender mounts... any ideas? Thanks!

Assuming you removed your original metal valance and the plastic shrouds then the late model valance is a straight bolt-on. However you will need cut or bend down your two front tow hooks otherwise they interfere. I bet that's your issue.
Don't worry too much about cutting your front tow hooks as your front diving board bumper should have provisions for the screw in tow hook. It's located in the center of the bumper behind the black plastic license plate holder trim. -
^ what he said. Though if you put the late model valance on an diving board car, youll need to drill holes for the bumper surround.
