So, I'm trying to take out my rear tow hook to paint it black. I thought it would just screw out, but it looks a little more complicated than that. Tried the "search" button but came up empty. How do I remove it? Thank you ahead of time.

it's welded onto the rear core support isn't it? why dont you just mask off the surrounding area and spray it black. or better yet... plastidip it to see if you really like it -
