Late model vs early model body panels

I have a 91 318is and an 85 eta. I would like to put the doors, fenders, and trunk lid from the 91 on my 85. will everything line up?

yes, everything including the front fenders. The rear quarters are different


But if it's a convertible, the all the side body panels are different.

i thought the door frames were different between the early and late. at least internally speaking the way the frame was molded to account for the redesign window mechanics

Well the doors I have are complete I wanted to switch them because I already planned on switching the locks, trim, and window motors. So it's sounding like I couldnt switch window motors anyway I guess I will just have try and see if everything fits
