    PDR after respray?

I had a bare metal respray done 8 months ago and already have two dime sized dents in a spot NOT accessible on the backside. Dent Wizard says the only way to pop them is with the puller gun thing. I have had this done with great success on my other car but the paint was original.

My question is if there is a strong chance the puller will effect my paint since is is not the 25 year old original coat. Has anyone used or seen a dent puller used on resprayed metal?

EDIT: dents gone, no paint issues at all

i think it really depends on the quality of the respray.

Agreed. Mine was bare metal, windows out and several thousand dollars but I don't know if that means it won't pull off. Anyone have experience?

I'm certainly not an expert on the subject, but I would think new paint would have more flex in it then old paint and would be less likely to crack.

Your best bet would be to ask the pdr guy.

Yeah, he's the one that said there was a slight risk. He'll give it a go in the morning, I was just checking to see if any one had a bad experience attempting this.

They do paint, not PDR. Their solution was to fill it in and repaint the entire upper half of the car.

The PDR guy just dominated it this morning anyway with no troubles. (michael jackson dancing gif or sparky fist pull)

I meant that you should ask them if it would be safe, but it's good that it all worked out for you :)
