    Front valance bent up

My front valance has two nicely placed dents on the bottom where my fogs would be from the previous owner. They're bent up enough so my fogs won't fit. As I'm coming around to painting my car I want to install the fogs but I'm not sure how to go about bending out the metal and getting it straight. So what I'm asking is what's the easiest way to go about it or is it easier to replace the damn thing.

I'm going to try c-clamping two small blocks on each side. Might take a butane torch to it if that doesn't work.

If it were me, I'd just grab a straight one and save myself the hassle of trying to straighten the old one. I don't think they are too expensive...

This. I had the same exact issue and I just found another valance for 20 bucks at a local scrapper. Same yourself the hassle and get another one.

You can get the valance mostly straight with a body hammer and dolly. That doesn't look TOO bad.

Mine wasn't that bad but i just spent some time today with a hammer and some sockets on their side..got it straight enough for brake ducts to be in flush and lower is. lip to be on straight along bottom. You could give it a shot but if your going to repaint the car just get a new one.

I would say that is a minor dent. An hour's worth of work and it will be straight again. Then paint.
