    Cheapest paint setup

I am trying to repaint an old Farm truck and quality really isn't a huge deal, money however is. I am looking for an aerosol version that will work well. I am looking for primer, paint, and most importantly clear coat. I am looking for a clear coat that wont be sticky after curing. Some reason a clear coat I used before came out sticky and thats a month after application. Looking for primer and then a silver or black paint. Brands and prices would be appreciated thanks in advance!

If you aren't worried about quality, why bother with a clear coat? I find clearcoat almost never works well from a rattle can. And can even be touchy using good quality clear with a gun. I'd skip it judging by your goal here.

I can't really say I think one aerosol brand has better paint than another if you're just considering what's available in the big box stores. SEM is good but you won't find that just anywhere. Rustoleum is fine... all your major brands will be about the same price too. $5-7 a can.

I'm painting my e30 with single stage urethane from Eastwood. Once you buy enough rattle cans your gonna spend more than you think. At least this way you get a harder more durable paint. Just buy a cheap gun from a parts store or eastwood. Could be done for well for 300-400.
