fitting 88 Metal bumpers on a 90/Late model.

Odd request here. Wondering if anyone has ever fitted the metal bumpers from the 88 onto a late model.

Got rear ended awhile ago. And I've always loved the way the 88 looks with the metal bumpers. Probably just gonna do the rear for now.

Anyone know of the particulars in doing this? Will the Plastic surrounds even bolt up to my car? Im not gonna drill into my car or anything. but if its simply something that could just be bolted on i'd be interested in trying it out...

I know I need a Bumper from an 88, as they changed in 88. I assume i also need the plastice surrounds from an 88?

Thanks, If anyone has any of these parts from an 88 laying around id love to take them off your hands.

If I'm not mistaken, any early bumper and surround would work. I think the only difference is the actual valence. I love 88s as well

The rear side surrounds are 88 specific if I remember correctly. So are the bumpers and shocks.

You WOULD need to drill holes for the bumper surrounds to bolt on though.
