Rust Repair DO IT YOURSELF needed

I've got some nice rusted areas around my car. Anyone have a good diy on fixing? As an example:

Ok, so you first should decide if you're welding. (which for weird shapes, angles and bends is basically the only way)

Then look up some welding websites or other builds in here. (ie. M3 minor rust repair, which is stickied up there)

Going by pep boys to pick up some rust removal spray, then wipe with alcohol, sand, wipe and then wait for doing paint I guess...I saw some of the other threads but I guess I want something in steps using home products or items from local stores.

I am hoping to fix without cutting and welding. I just want to stop it where it is and paint it.

If the rust is just surface rust and hasn't rotted through, you can fix it without welding. Start out with a wire wheel and clean all the rust off, plus another 1" of the paint around the rust spot. I would then treat the area with some kind of rust inhibitor, something like this:

              http://www.lowes.com/pd_117792-133-0...%7C1&facetInfo

The instructions will likely say that you don't have to wire wheel the area first, but the more you get rid of with the wheel, the less that stuff has to do.

From here, it's just a matter of primer, block sanding and paint. Filler primer would be your best bet to fill any small pitting from the rust. Use as little as possible, putting on a few coats, sanding in between coats.

You can get factory color matched paint in a spray can from www.paintscratch.com.

Ok, worse than I thought, the holes are non-existent, what can I put on there (not welding) that I can put screws in????
