Early model euro bumpers on late model (with a catch)

I have an 85 325e with a 91 front valance and bumper. I'm still rockin the rear diving board because I'm not confident in my ability to tackle the rear yet.

I may be getting some early model euro bumpers. from what I understand the rear should be easy. Will the front work with the late model valance ? In my head it looks really good, but I wanna see.
Has anyone done this? it seems like it would work but I can't find pictures anywhere.

Theres a gap under the bumper when you do this.

I could probably work with that. I swear I've seen that car before.

There is a picture somewhere that someone did take and redo the valance to where that gap isn't there. I don't know where to search for it though. But i have seen it on here.
