Paint for Intake

I am painting up some of my parts for my car and my parts car to sell and I am curious if 500 degree paint it high enough? I had a can of 1000 degree paint that my father had used for some other jobs but that has run out. I assumed that 1000 would have been high enough for any part, but I was unsure about the 500.

Don't know about the 500 stuff, but I went with 1000 and it hasn't needed touch up in two years.

As far as a m20 goes...

Maximum safe coolant temp is ~190F.
Maximum safe oil temp is ~240F.

Your intake manifold and valve cover will never exceed either of those values.
