So the chrome trim around my front passenger window keeps popping out where it meets the side view mirror. I'm sure I could use adhesive and call it a day, but would really like to do it the right way since one day I may want to remove it. It seems like there maybe be some chipped plastic on the track where the trim is inserted, so I am thinking I would have the replace that as well. Any suggestions?

Take the trim off, and you'll see the clips underneath, see if you can prise it out carefully, and pinch it.
If you can't, you'll end up losing the lot on the freeway at speed.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

^ that or it is mounted slightly off so the clips are not biting down on the sweet spot. The trim is extremely sensitive to the curvature of the pinch weld. Try removing the trim and sliding it up or back a few mm and popping it in.Comment

You think it's necessary to remove the moulding? After some research I'm thinking that I might be missing the clamp, part #13 in the image below.
