    intake and valve cover paint

OK so I already painted my intake and valve cover and I was wondering how do you guys paint the raised part that says BMW and the lines that go across? I feel like taping it off through all of those little lines would be a pain.

Any simple ways of doing this?

paint over them then sand off the raised parts with 500 grit. polish as much as you like with 1500+ from there. you can also use a razor blade to remove the paint from the flat raise bits

I was wondering how to paint the raised part, not how to get then paint off of it.

Like my valve cover is white, I wanted to paint the raised area red

If all you have is red paint, you'll have to do it the way you described. The easier way would be to paint the whole cover red, tape off the raised bits, then repaint it white.
