One side perfect, other side faded?????

Hey guys - sorry no pictures at the moment unfortunately, but here's the deal.

My car has Bronzitbeige metallic paint, original (because it still has the pistriping on it). The driver side of the car looks great, almost like new paint. I thought it had been resprayed sometime ago.

The rest of the car, roof, hood, trunk, pass side especially looks very patchy and faded. The color is flat and depthless, and looks like there is just a thin fog across it perhaps.

I don't think the clearcoat has failed because there is no cracking, peeling or severe discoloration. Just...fading.

My plan is to get a PC and follow the details in other threads about restoring paint (claybar, polish, glaze, sealant, carnuba). That will cost about $300 for everything. WILL THIS FIX THE FADING ON THE CAR?

You'll be surprised how much difference a compounding followed by a wax will make.
